Len Blavatnik is popularly known as Business insider’s 42nd richest man in the world. The Blavatnik Bio includes the legendary investment in the Lyondell Basell, the purchase of Warner Music, all through his industrial group, Access Industries. But what makes him stand out is really his philanthropic endeavors.
The Blavatnik Entrepreneur streak also gives him the funds and reach he needs to pursue his philanthropic initiatives. He has been supporting and funding good causes around the world for the last fifteen years. Here are a few of them:
The Blavatnik Family Foundation are the primary benefactors for major art and cultural exhibitions, including the British Museum, Tate Modern, Royal Opera House, National Portrait Gallery and Museum of Modern Art.
The Blavatnik Family Foundation also has the Blavatnik Awards for Young Scientists in partnership with the New York Academy of Sciences. This award,with a significant cash prize recognizes young scientists from the life sciences, physical sciences and engineering.
Len Blavatnik has also supported the University of Tel Aviv with a $20 million grant.
The foundation also sponsors a Colel Chabad 20,000-square-foot food bank in Kiryat Malakhi, Israel. The food bank sends monthly shipments of food to five thousand poor families in Israel.
